Barring an unforeseen development, Doug Melvin's streak of never going to a salary arbitration hearing as general manager of the Milwaukee Brewers will end Thursday.Rightfielder Corey Hart's arbitration hearing is scheduled for that day in St. Petersburg, Fla., and there was no indication Tuesday that it would be avoided with a contract agreement."We've had enough time to get a deal done," said Melvin, who avoided a hearing with Hart last February on the eve of a scheduled hearing. "Right now, it looks like we've got the first case (to be heard)."
